Charlotte Tilbury Lipsticks


That's right guys I am now the proud owner of two Charlotte Tilbury lipsticks. 
Are you proud, because let me tell you now that they are probably treated better than some children. 

Also, guess who's finally 17?!? (that would be me). So I was kindly given these by my lovely friends (shoutout to Bea, Dimeji, Farzana, Kaveena, Nia and Tilly) and they're just too beautiful to not write a blogpost to them.

My friends were ridiculously generous and bought me two lipsticks in these shades:
Matte Revolution - Bond Girl
K.I.S.S.I.N.G. - Oh Marilyn 


Bond Girl is in this stunning mauve shade, that is actually a perfect nude. I find it quite hard to find a nude due to my skin colour, however, this is absolutely stunning and is definitely my favourite out of the two. The matte lipstick is also new for me as usual I tend to avoid them, however, I love this. It's moisturising, long lasting and the packaging/size is perfect.

 Oh Marilyn, she'd probably be asking me why I'm posing so awkwardly.

Oh Marilyn is in a gorgeous deep, pure red shade and it's in the classic lipstick style for Charlotte Tilbury. It is stunning. Red lipstick doesn't usually suit my lips or my colour as they can be too bold, however, this is perfect. I love the glossy finish and how I don't feel that it's too much. It is perfect for the holiday season.

This really shows how natural and subtle this shade looks.

I felt that it was necessary to dedicate a whole post, because I'm so excited to have these and it's the first time that I've truly loved a lipstick. They retail at £23 each so are quite pricey, but are perfect for presents for any beauty lover, especially if it's a joint present.

Thank you for all the lovely birthday messages and presents from my friends! Hopefully I'll mature a bit more as I've become 17 and become more organised so that these posts are more frequent.

The truth of the reality

 Nostalgia is a dirty liar.   As are most of us. I remember growing up I would always think about the future and what I wanted to do. I also remember my dad constantly telling me that one day I’d regret not living in the moment and I’d want nothing more than to turn back time. Like always he was right. Except this isn’t just limited to me or even my friends. It seems like everyone I know or my friends know around my age feel the same. From #throwbackthursday to 00s nights we seem to be obsessed with the past. Whether it’s casual conversations or the only thing to talk about on a first date - we’re the generation stuck in nostalgia.  But surely we’re too young to be stuck in the past? Lessons in Lockdown: Moving Back In With My Parents

Lockdown learning isn't just for kids.  I love this photo because I feel it really shows the narrative I’ve been trying to work through since moving back in with my parents. Me, ‘grown up’ as an (almost) fully realised adult, trying to fit back into my parents world - or in this case their bathtub. It’s something so many of us have had to face since Boris decided to lock us up and unexpectedly throw away the key for a year.
