Getting cultural in London

I don't often share a lot of my personal life on my blog, however, I feel that you guys should get to know me better.
Last Sunday the Mayor Of London's office held an event in Trafalgar Square to start the celebrations for Diwali in November. Obviously, being indian, I wanted to go so me and 6 of my friends decide to head down to London for the day.
The event itself was quite interesting and extremely busy. In the heart of london their appeared to be a mini India that had been created with stalls for yoga, henna, food and dancing.

There was also a huge elephant structure (idol?) that was near the entrance and was extremely beautiful. I am not entirely sure, however, I believe it is of the God - Ganesh, who is the 'Remover of all obstacles."

However, although the event was lovely we decided to leave as we still had a lot of the day left and we wanted to explore other bits of London. This is where I thanked god for the tube, as it gave us the freedom to go anywhere in London. I'm going to be honest with you; we just wanted a Nandos.
 A cheeky Nandos.
And this my friends, is probably the cheekiest Nandos that I've ever had.

We decided to head towards Oxford Street, not only to check out the Nandos, but to pop to Topshop. Now if we had known we were going to shop we would've bought more money, however, that was not the case so we opted to get a cute photobooth photo instead.

However, the Nandos on Oxford Street was incredibly tiny. Definitely, not big enough for seven at a table, especially with the amount of food we were going to order. So we hoped on yet another tube down to Covent Garden, which is beautiful.

(shoutout to tilly for the cute photography)

And we finally found a Nandos! The place was incredibly big and we were in a little cave on the bottom floor. We had a great lunch, more like tea by the time we got there, and then we headed towards Chinatown.

Cheesy smile for a cheeky nandos.

There was a bit of a commotion trying to get to Chinatown, by commotion I mean I couldn't work out how to use Google Maps. Although I actually have an A* in GCSE geography, it's a rare thing for me let me have it, I managed to walk right past it and it took a little longer than expected to get there.

We didn't know that it was also The Moon Festival in China and Chinatown. The main street looked extremely pretty with lanterns lining the length of it. Chinatown is always very pretty, and the atmosphere is always amazing. You should always take a trip down there if you are ever in central London.

It's hard being a model to be honest.

And thus our cultural, but not that cultural, trip to London came to an end. We hopped back on the tube back to Paddington, grabbed a Starbucks and headed on the train back home. I love London and aim to live there later in life, but days out in London never fail to surprise me.

Bye x

(Note; I am taking a break from Youtube and this blog as my grandfather passed away suddenly on Friday. As I'm sure you will understand, I need some time to myself and be with my family. I will be back in November. Thank you for your understanding during this difficult time.)
