Face of the Month - May 2015
So recently I feel as if I've stepped my game up when it comes to my makeup. I'm learning to try new products and to mix it up with drugstore and high end products.
Once a month I've decided to update you guys on what I'm loving/wearing.
Also, I only have two more weeks of exams left!!!
Which means more frequent uploading *ribbon/party emoji*

Once a month I've decided to update you guys on what I'm loving/wearing.
Products used:
-Wonderblur primer - The Body Shop
-True Match Foundation, D7.W7 - Loreal
-Lasting Perfection Concealer, shade 4 - Collection 2000
-Loose Powder, Translucent - Collection 2000
-Hoola Bronzer - Benefit
- Rose Gold Blush, 926 - Sleek
-Roller Lash - Benefit
-Hydro Care Lip Balm - Nivea
My base is the most important part of my makeup routine and although I have been wearing this a lot, I'm not too keen on the foundation or primer. I find it so hard to find a foundation that is a heavy enough coverage, but doesn't look fake, that does not dry around spots and is the right shade for me. Although the shade suits me well and there is a wide range available, this is not a long lasting foundation in my opinion, as it tends to settle into dry patches and skin tone soon appears uneven. The primer is not extremely bad, but I prefer the Benefit Porefessional, as its creamier and gives me a smoother base.
My concealer is a staple in any girls makeup collection as its not only high coverage, but is a really good price. I love using this for my under eyes, especially with my lack of sleep from revision.
The powder is nothing specially and I find that I need to touch up or that it can be a bit drying, BUT it is only £2.99 so is an absolute bargain as it lasts ages.
My bronzer and blush have been my go to for months. I find that on my skin tone that rose gold shades for blushes really suit me, but are quite subtle. The sleek blushes are so highly pigmented, but are half the price of must blushes.
My bronzer is well known among most people, but it deserves a mention because it even works well on darker skin tones! I love to contour or just make sure that I have no lines between my foundation and scalp and this offers a good build-able bronze, without being glittery.
Roller Lash by benefit has actually replaced my They're real! I was OBSESSED with that mascara, but I got this free sample in an issue of Elle and since then I've used it whenever I can. It curls, separates and lengthens, which is all that I look for in a mascara. I'm definitely going to buy the full size version in the summer.
I don't like to wear heavy lip products everyday, as I have school most days, so I like to use a lip balm. This was given to me by a friend, but it makes me so nostalgic, because I used to use this when I wanted 'makeup' when I was around 6. It's super hydrating and smells amazing!
I forgot to take photos of my makeup when I first applied it, but I took some around 9 hours later. (I applied it at 9am and these were taken at 6pm)
Shoutout to my awkward faces, but I was trying to show how my blush catches the light, which didn't really get picked up.
Let me know what you've been loving this month and thoughts on any of the products that I mentioned :)Also, I only have two more weeks of exams left!!!
