When in Rome, do what the Romans do

Recently I spent a few days in Rome for my annual holiday and god it was great to get away. When I'm in England I tend to go for safe outfit choices and (I didn't go all out) when I'm on holiday I like to pretend I know a thing or two about fashion? (Did that even make sense)

Day 1:

This was my plane outfit, a casual, turquoise smock dress , but we also visited the Spanish Steps and a few local sites. When I'm flying I want to be comfy but not too warm, so I tend to go for a light dress. This was from Primark and it was £5.

Day 2:

On our second day we visited the Vatican City, which you have to be appropriately dressed for. I opted for my jumpsuit (Primark £12) and to cover up whilst in the cathedral and Sistine Chapel I used my floral kimono (New Look £20-£30?). This was really light and easy to wear and I paired it with a light blue Egyptian style necklace (Forever 21 £5-£8).

Day 3:

On our third day we went to Euroma 2 ( a shopping centre) and I decided to wear a casual, light pink skater dress (Bershka £22). Originally, I had my hair down and lightly curled/wavy, but it got annoying so I put it up into a ponytail with my scrunchie (Topshop £1 (sale) ). I also had my cream to pink bracelets on (Forever 21 £6.99)

Day 4:

Our last 'proper day' in Rome was spent seeing the Colosseum, Roman ruins and cool American people who invited me to a party "just saying". I decided to embrace my inner hipster/hippie and attempt to rock the flower crown (River Island £8). My outfit was fairly simple with my FAVOURITE kimono (Topshop £40), black vest top (Primark £2) and black skater skirt (Topshop £10 (sale) ). Also, the two girls are my cousins who will be featuring in my blogs.

Holiday bag:
I always take a small bag with me on holiday, as there are a lot of pick pockets and I only need essentials. This was a white, with blue ripples? bag (Topshop £7 (sale) ). I loved using it but I will probably just keep this as my holiday bag.

Holiday shoes + bracelets:

Every year I pack around 4-5 pairs of shoes and I only ever wear one pair for the entire trip for two reasons 1) I'm lazy and 2) they're the comfiest. We tend to do a lot of walking and activities so I need shoes that are comfy, but go with everything. Viola! (Primark £6-£12?). You may realise that I collect? bracelets from places that I've visited or things that are important to me. Currently I have: a Rome bracelet, a purple rock bracelet from Aachen, a Milan bracelet, a Venice bracelet, a bracelet my aunt got me, a loom band my mum's friend's daughter made me, a brown bead bracelet from my friend and a Children In Need wristband. (Collection priceless).

I hope you enjoyed my outfits from Rome and I may be posting some of the sites I saw and what I thought within the next few weeks :)

Bye x
