5 must-have products for acne prone skin

As you know I am a long time sufferer of acne, which is far better now, but I have definitely tried A LOT to get rid of it. Some have been fairly expensive and others fairly cheap but personally there are 5 things that I have stuck to and believe actual work! This isn't really for severe acne treatment but for mild treatment and prevention :)

(Note my fifth product JUST ran out and I stupidly threw it away, so I had to get a picture off google images)

Product 1:
Simple Rapid Action Spot Zapper

When I first bought this I was vey sceptical because a lot of products claim to get rid of spots in a limited time frame. But I have to say this actually lives up to it's name (mostly) only that it reduces the spots and re-application is needed. (Which it does state on the back). Personally I love this a lot because it's made by simple which I know doesn't have harsh chemicals that will make my skin dry or horrible. Definitely a must have :)

Product 2:
Visibly Clear Pink Grapefruit Daily Scrub

Many of you may have heard of the Pink Grapefruit Daily Wash which is highly talked about but this is the scrub version. I tend to find that I get a lot of blackheads around my chin and nose area, which are not very flattering. I need a scrub to get rid of them that was gentle enough for everyday use and this ticked all those boxes! Neutrogena is an AMAZING brand for dealing with acne problems and I would recommend trying a few of their stuff. Also it smells delicious!

Price: £4.95
(Boots are currently running an offer on selected Neutrogena visibly clear products, which is 2 for £5)

Product 3:
Visibly Clear Pink Grapefruit Oil-Free Moisturiser

Even with everyday products such as moisturisers, I always try to use something that is beneficial for my acne. This is part of the same range as my daily scrub and is essential! I use this everyday after a shower or before applying make up or even if I'm not going anywhere to help prevent the spots. A lot of spots come for when you pores are clogged or if you have really oily skin so this helps balance out the oils on your face and also doesn't clog your pores. Again it's smells lush!

Product 4:
Smashbox Photo Finish More than Primer Blemish Control

A primer is something that if you wear makeup daily you definitely should invest in! They range from £6-£60 in most cases but help your makeup to stay on longer and help you to apply it smoothly. Smashbox is a great makeup brand and is great for most skin types. This primer helps to controls spots, reduce redness and calm the appearance of spots. A lot of other primers tend to clog your pores and aren't the best for dealing with acne or spots in general. This is oil free and is definitely a great primer on it's own. Smashbox can be fairly pricey but nothing too expensive,in my opinion, as it actually works.

Price: £28.00

Product 5:
Clear Complexion Claryfying Powder

This is the product that I ran out of last week :( However, I'm going into town today to pick up some more because this is the only powder I currently use! A lot of powders can make your face look cakey and are not exactly beneficial for your skin. This has natural minerals that are helping to keep your skin fresh and clean whilst keeping your makeup on. It is quite similar to the stay matte one and does help you look shine-free. It only comes I one shade which is transparent but if you apply it heavily in some areas it can appear chalky. The only downside is that it only lasts 5 hours and I tend to have to touch it up every 3-4 hours!

Price: £3.99

I hope you enjoyed this post as it was rather long! I will be back to regular updates soon but I have exams all next week so it's revision for me!

Bye xx
