Anyone For Tea?
Since I've started my job I very rarely get time off to spend with my friends, so when myself and 5 friends headed down to London for the day it was a welcome escape.

First, of course, my outfit details. I wore a dress from Topshop, which was £12 in the sale, black tights from Primark, black suede boots from H&M, which were £18 in the sale and my black ASOS coat, which was £25.00 in the sale. In short I wore all my new clothes that I got in the sale.
The plan of action was to get into London, go for breakfast in Soho, go to Oxford Street for a bit of shopping and then head to the Ambassador's Bloomsbury Hotel for Afternoon Tea. However, knowing us it didn't quite go to plan. We got into Paddington a bit later than expected and made our way to Soho, in hopes of heading towards The Breakfast Club for breakfast. At this point I thought I was going to have some really cute, tumblr photos for my Instagram.
Wrong.
We finally found The Breakfast Club, but only to discover that the queue was so long that it would be a good hour before we were seated. We did not have time for that. So again we wondered around, disagreed on where to eat and ended up eating at Garfunkel's which was about 2 seconds from the tube station. By this time it was too late for breakfast so we went with a sharing platter of nachos, chicken wings, ciabatta etc.
Basically heaven.

Then instead of heading straight to Oxford Street we had a look down Carnaby Street and obviously we couldn't help but go into MAC. I find that the stores in London are just so aesthetically pleasing and I just love to take photos of them. We then hoped back on the tube (side note can we just thank the tube for taking you across London in a ridiculously short amount of time) and headed for Oxford Street.
Once in Oxford Street we obviously visited Selfridges and Topshop, but got a bit distracted to say the least. We were walking near John Lewis when a woman approached us saying that she loved how we looked and was from a nearby boutique. Now I know what you're thinking:
SCAM SANDY SCAM
I did too.
However, we decided to follow her back to the boutique and it was somewhere I instantly recognised from when I had been in London previously. So after about half an hour we suddenly found ourselves booking a photoshoot for July...well done us.
I love how I made that seem so casual like I do that all the time...I really don't...promise.
So after that excitement we realised that we were late for afternoon tea so we headed to Euston towards the hotel where we'd be having our tea a.k.a a good old gossip and cake.
Obviously we had to take photos outside first, which made us even later.
The cakes and sandwiches were really good and quintessentially British which I'm always a sucker for. It was so nice to just sit down and talk about god knows what with some of my favourite people. The café was just off the hotel and the atmosphere was really welcoming and relaxing. We were able to relax, eat good food and sit there for a good few hours just enjoying good company. It was lovely.
Then it got to around 6pm and we decided that after being out since around 10 it was probably time to head back home. Even the journey back on the tube was funny just because we were all so happy and enjoying this little moment to ourselves.
I think it's always good to just sit down and reflect on life, because sometimes we get so caught up on day to day things that we forget to enjoy what we work for. After everything that's happened to me over the past 6 months, I've really changed as a person, which I think is for the better. Although I'm only 17 and I haven't got years of experience behind me, I still believe that you should savour the small moments, because at the end of it all memories are all you have. Life is short, don't waste it on stupid people or stupid things.
